A hot and cold water purifier capable of rapid heating and cooling is disclosed. The hot and cold water purifier capable of rapid heating and cooling comprises: a usage sensing unit to sense a usage of a water purifier by a user, and sensing a usage of time and an amount of hot water or cold water used; a storage unit to store the usage of time and the amount of hot water or cold water used, sensed by the usage sensing sensor unit; and a control unit to control a water level of a hot water tank or a cold water tank based on the amount of hot water or cold water used stored in the storage unit.
