PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of easily performing a target speed setting operation in automatic travel control, and a vehicular brake control device. ! SOLUTION: A vehicle control device includes reception means 110 for receiving a start signal for starting automatic travel control for making a vehicle run at a target speed set by a driver, and automatic travel control means 130 for starting the automatic travel control on condition that the reception means 110 receives the start signal. The automatic travel control means 130 sets a vehicle body speed at release speed as the target speed when an accelerator operation is released, after the driver performs the accelerator operation during the automatic travel control. !
