PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which can adjust an impact absorption load by an ironing shaft, and can simplify a structure. ! SOLUTION: A unit main body 31 of an ironing unit 34 is fixed to an upper jacket 11. A first ironing shaft 32 supported by the unit main body includes a plurality of ironing parts 32a, 32b which are different in outside diameters. The first ironing shaft which moves together with the upper jacket at a secondary collision relatively moves to a relative moving direction (axial direction lower part X1) with respect to a relative position fixing part (slit 38) of an energy absorption member (energy absorption plate 35). A plurality of ironing parts which are different in the outside diameters of the first ironing part selectively perform ironing to the slit 38 of the energy absorption plate. By changing the outside diameters of the respective ironing parts, impact absorption loads by the ironing parts are mutually and independently adjusted. ! COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO |
