PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting concrete protecting a surface of concrete which is colored with natural wood feeling and capable of suppressing decoloration with aging. ! SOLUTION: (1) a method of protecting concrete includes the steps of attaching a concrete coloring agent including a phenolic compound represented by the following general formula (P1) on a surface of concrete and applying clear on the surface attached with the concrete coloring agent. In the (P1), R represents an n valent organic group, m represents an integer of 1 to 5 and n represents an integer of 1 or more. (2) the method of protecting concrete includes using acrylic clear as the clear. (3) the method of protecting concrete includes applying clear to the surface within seven days of dry material age of the concrete.
