PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device and a specific method for reducing a work load to specify a light receiving sensor to be effective during a standby mode. ! SOLUTION: An attitude determination unit 102 detects the installation angle of a projector, and a specification unit 104 refers to an optimal light receiving sensor table, specifies a light receiving sensor corresponding to the installation angle as the optimal light receiving sensor, and stores optimal light receiving sensor information in a storage unit 103. When a mode control unit 101 has detected the occurrence of an event of the transition of the standby mode, a power source control unit 105 reads out the optimal light receiving sensor information from the storage unit 103 and renders only the light receiving sensors indicated in the optimal light receiving sensor information into an effective state. !
