The method involves determining whether product information related to a user query is cached in a local database and if the requested information is not cached, searching the electronic commerce websites for the requested information.

1. A method according to a set of instructions stored on the memory of a computing device, the method comprising:
searching, with the computing device, electronic commerce websites on a network for product information; caching, in a database operatively coupled to the computing device, the product information; receiving a query, wherein the query relates to the product; determining, by a processor of the computing device, based on the query, that the product information has been cached in the database; sending, to a display, the information about the product directly from the database in response to the query.
