This invention relates to JAK1 selective inhibitors, particularly pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine and pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine derivatives, and their use in treating myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).

1. A method of treating a myelodysplastic syndrome in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to said patient a therapeutically effective amount of a JAK1 selective inhibitor, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
