Provided is a cutting insert that makes it possible to simultaneously achieve high feed machining and finishing machining. The cutting insert comprises an upper surface (21), a lower surface (91), and a side surface (61) that connects the upper surface (21) and the lower surface (91). A cutting blade is formed at the intersection ridge line of the upper surface (21) and the side surface (61). The cutting blade is configured from at least a main cutting blade (33), a corner blade (34) that is connected to the main cutting blade (33), and a curved wiper blade (35) that is arranged on the opposite side of the main cutting blade (33) with respect to the corner blade (34). The angle (θ) that is formed by the main cutting blade (33) and the chord of the wiper blade (35) satisfies 155° ≤ θ < 180°. A positive land is formed on the wiper blade (35). |
