<p>This Large Animal Vaccination/Treatment Gun extends the design of syringes by incorporating a mechanism that automates the treatment process. The mechanism consists of a Sliding Nose Cone (3) coupled to a Trip Bar (1) and Double Plate Cam (27) that moves a Paul (30) disengaging a Rack (10) attached to a Spring Actuated, shock absorbed Plunger (8) that causes serum within the Syringe Body (4) to be forcibly injected through the Syringe Needle (2) into an animal's muscle when the Nose Cone (3) is forcibly depressed. Vaccinations may be achieved in accurate dosages up to 10ml by moving a Dosage Pin (7) to the required volume stop on a Gauge Plate (38). Injection force from Spring (11) is provided by twin co-joined bent compression levers, that when fully activated, prohibit spring/lever rebound. A Pistol Grip (44) and Extension Tube (36) improve ergonomic use and extend the gun's operational range.</p> |
