PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient recovery of boil-off gas at a liquefaction gas carrier.SOLUTION: BOG (Boil-Off-Gas) within a cargo tank 11 is fed as cooling gas to a heat exchanger 14 through a first pipe 12 and further compressed by a multistage high pressure gas compressor 15. Intermediate pressure BOG is extracted from a middle stage of the high pressure gas compressor 15, fed as gas to be cooled to the heat exchanger 14 through a second pipe 16 and cooled, expanded at a Joule-Thomson valve 17, partially liquefied and fed to a separator 18. Gas composition separated by the separator 18 is recycled to the upstream side of the heat exchanger 14 in the first pipe 12 through a pressure control valve 19 and liquid composition is returned back to the cargo tank 11 by a transport pump 21. |
