PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for calculating a distance between radio communication devices.SOLUTION: The method includes: a first step of acquiring an environment parameter of a LOS propagation environment, and determining whether a propagation environment between a first communication device and a second communication device is the LOS propagation or NLOS propagation from a relationship between amounts of oscillation of received signal strengths of the LOS propagation environment and of a NLOS propagation environment; and a second step of calculating a distance between the first communication device and the second communication device on the basis of the environment parameter of the LOS propagation environment and a distance-loss model when the propagation environment between the first communication device and the second communication device is the LOS propagation, and calculating an environment parameter of the NLOS propagation environment when the propagation environment between the first communication device and the second communication device is the NLOS propagation, and calculating a distance between the first communication device in the NLOS propagation environment and the second communication device therein on the basis of the distance-loss model and the calculated environment parameter of the NLOS propagation environment. |
