PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm capable of performing inspection mode control which is unlikely to be influenced by a temperature and a humidity of a job site environment, by making accuracy of inspection work unlikely to be varied by the concentration of an inspection gas. ! SOLUTION: An alarm X includes: detection means 10 for detecting a change of an external environment; arithmetic means 20 for calculating an extent of the change of the external environment on the basis of a result detected by the detection means 10; and warning means 30 which issues a warning sound by receiving a warning signal from the arithmetic means 20. The alarm X further includes control means 40 controllable between a detection mode for detecting the change of the external environment and an inspection mode for inspecting an operation of a warning function.
