PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch low in torque during idling and excellent in durability while holding high engaging property. ! SOLUTION: A one-way clutch 1 includes a pair of mating members 10 and 20, and a plurality of sprags 30 arranged therebetween rotatably relative to one mating member 20 and non-rotatably relative to the other mating member 10. Between the pair of mating members 10 and 20, idling or rotation transmission is selectively carried out depending on the inclination of the sprags 30. On the outer periphery of each of the sprags 30, there are a first cam face 31 for contacting one mating member 20 in the state of the idling and a second cam face 32 for engaging one mating member 20 in the state of the rotation transmission. A friction coefficient between one mating member 20 and the first cam face 31 is smaller than a friction coefficient between one mating member 20 and the second cam face 32. !
