PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device capable of facilitating operation even in a multifunctional state and making a display area wider than the prior arts, and a testing method.SOLUTION: A testing device 1 includes: a display section 12 for displaying a screen including an application selection screen for selecting an application, a test condition setting screen for setting a test condition by means of the selected application and a test result display screen for displaying a test result by means of the selected application; an operation section 11 for operating the screen displayed on the display section 12; an inter-hierarchy screen switching section 21a for switching between a first hierarchy screen including the application selection screen and a second hierarchy screen including the test condition setting screen and the test result display screen on the basis of the operation of the operation section 11; and an intra-hierarchy screen switching section 21b for switching a screen included in the second hierarchy screen. |
