PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show more naturally to a user a superimposed image when superimposing a three-dimentional computer graphics image on an image of a background acquired from a camera.SOLUTION: An image generation device includes: background image acquisition means that acquires an image of a background on which an image of an object is superimposed; color extraction means that extracts color for one or a plurality of portions in the image of the background; light source determination means that determines color of light outputted from a light source illuminating the object on the basis of the color extracted for the one or the plurality of portions; drawing means that draws the image of the object on the basis of the determined color of the light of the light source; and output image generation means that generates an output image in which the image of the object and the image of the background are superimposed.
