PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for external application, which can be applied on a part of the skin to more effectively induce the useful activity of an adenine compound such as adenine, adenosine, and a phosphate ester of adenosine, and further, which has an excellent long-acting property and can enhance skin-moisturizing effect.SOLUTION: A gel-like composition for external application which contains an adenine compound such as adenine, adenosine, and a phosphate ester of adenosine is prepared by using agar as a gelling agent. The gel-like composition for external application is further prepared into the form of a sheet-like adhesive skin patch. And the gel-like composition for external application which is in the form of a sheet-like adhesive skin patch is stored in the state immersed in an aqueous solution containing the above adenine compound. |
