PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine which can make a worker sense approximation states of a grindstone and a workpiece, and can support precise processing by a manual operation of the worker, in the grinding machine which comprises a manual rotating handle having rotation detection means for outputting a rotation detection signal being an electric signal which corresponds to a rotation amount by the manual operation of the worker, and can relatively move a position of the grindstone with respect to the workpiece according to the rotation detection signal.SOLUTION: A grinding machine comprises: a grindstone 22; moving means 20M which moves a position of the grindstone with respect to a workpiece W; approximation detection means 51 which outputs an approximation detection signal corresponding to a relative position or a relative distance between the workpiece and the grindstone; a manual rotation handle 84 arranged with rotation detection means 84E; and control means 50 which controls the moving means on the basis of the rotation detection signal. Rotation torque variable means is arranged at the manual rotation handle, and the control means controls the rotation torque variable means according to approximation states of the workpiece and the grindstone based on the approximation detection signal. |
