PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle capable of reducing optical axis deviation due to heat stress and a method for manufacturing an optical transmission module including the receptacle. ! SOLUTION: A receptacle 200 includes: plug mounting parts 222, 242 on which plugs provided at ends of optical fibers are mounted; and optical coupling parts 224, 244 for coupling optical axes of the optical fibers with optical axes of optical elements.
