PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve time and labor cost required for indexing, since time and labor are required for indexing a cutting insert when another cutting blade is used at a cutting tool.SOLUTION: A cutting tool holder 10 includes an insert seat 30, and a side wall for defining an insert seat space that receives a cutting insert 20 therein. The insert seat 30 includes a support element 40 that extends in the insert seat 30 from a base, and a connection member 50 capable of engaging with the insert seat 30. The connection member 50 is displaceable relative to the insert seat 30 between a setting position which allows the cutting insert 20 to be installed on the insert seat 30 and a fixing position for fixing the cutting insert 20 in the insert seat 30. A fixing cavity is formed in the cutting insert 20. When the cutting insert 20 is installed on the cutting tool holder 10, being at fixing position, both the support element 40 and the connection member 50 are received in the cavity of the cutting insert 20. |
