<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy recovery snubber circuit for a power converter which includes a flyback transformer.SOLUTION: A power converter includes a primary winding L1a and a secondary winding L1b of a flyback transformer driven by a switch M1, and a snubber circuit includes two capacitors C1, C2. The two capacitors C1, C2 are connected such that, when the snubber circuit is connected to the primary winding L1a of the flyback transformer, the capacitors are charged in series by current flowing in a first direction in the primary winding L1a when the switch M1 is turned OFF, recover energy stored in a leakage inductance of the transformer, and are further discharged in parallel to cause current flowing in a second direction in the primary winding L1a of the transformer, thereby transferring recovered energy to the transformer.</p> |
