摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for hydrorefining hydrocarbon oils, which is made excellent in both of desulfurization activity and denitrification activity. ! SOLUTION: An inorganic compound oxide carrier comprising aluminum, silicon and phosphorus satisfies the following conditions. The condition (a) is that the content of silica is 6.0-12.0 mass% in terms of silicon oxide (SiO2). The condition (b) is that the content of phosphorus is adjusted in terms of phosphorus oxide (P2O5) so that a weight ratio of P2O5/SiO2 becomes 0.2-1.4. The condition (c) is that a ratio ((OHBS)/(OHAS)) of the absorbance (OHBS) of a basic OH group per the unit surface area of the carrier to that (OHAS) of an acidic OH group per the unit surface area of the carrier is controlled within 0.70-0.95, and the absorbance (OHBS) of the maximum peak position of the basic OH group is controlled within 0.015-0.035 m-2 and that (OHAS) of the maximum peak position of the acidic OH group is controlled within 0.025-0.050 m-2. !
