[Class 20 (iii)] Shutter systems for roof lights, windows and the like, comprising a plurality of interconnected, simultaneously-operated shutters 1 pivotally mounted between flanges of angle-section rails, are glazed with transparent or translucent material and arranged in sets on opposite sides of actuating mechanism such as electric motors 17, 18 whereby either or both sets may be operated. Each shutter-frame has a downwardly projecting flange 5 pivoted to rails forming part of the roof-structure. The frame is also provided at each end with an angular bracket 8 constituting one of a series of triangular structures, the apices of which are connected by links 9 and a cross-bar to an arm 21 the end of which is formed as a nut working over the motor driven shaft 20. The joints between adjacent shutters are, when shut, screened by flashings 13.
