The present invention relates to a hermetic reciprocating mini compressor (1) suitable for use in a refrigeration appliance. The hermetic reciprocating mini compressor (1) comprises a cylinder block (2) which has a compression chamber, a cylinder head (3) and a valve assembly (4) which is arranged between the cylinder block (2) and the cylinder head (3). In the hermetic reciprocating mini compressor (1) according to the present invention the cylinder block (2) has a flangeless mounting seat (5) into which six or more than six threaded-holes are formed. The cylinder head (3) has a corresponding number of through-holes which are respectively formed so as to oppose the threaded-holes. The cylinder head (3) is mounted to the cylinder block (2) by a corresponding number of small size bolts (6) which are respectively inserted through the through-holes and screwed into the threaded-holes.
