PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV protective cloth, which is made of UV protective cellulosic fibers, that is, produced from modal or by lyocell processing, in which permanent and intrinsic protection to a specified fiber substance and thus a cloth against UV ray is provided and UV protection to the cloth is ensured even in a wet and stretched state, and as a result of fiber swell, a structure of the cloth becomes denser and as a direct result thereof, UV transmission is greatly reduced compared with that in dry and stretched state.SOLUTION: The UV protective cloth comprises an artificial cellulosic fiber in which a nanoscale TiOpigment having particle distribution characterized in less than 1000nm of xand less than 2000nm of xis incorporated in an amount of 0.1-1.5%(weight/weight) and which has fracture toughness evaluated according to BISFA of at least 30 cN/tex in an adjustment state and at least 18 cN/tex in a wet state and has a mass per unit area of 120-270 g/m. |
