1. A method for analyzing airborne nucleic acid molecules in airborne cellular material, the method comprising:
filtering and/or collecting air in an air sampling system that comprises an air filter and/or a collection medium, such that the nucleic acid molecules in the filtered/collected cellular material remain on the air filter and/or in the collection medium; isolating the nucleic acid molecules in the filtered/collected cellular material from the air filter and/or from the collecting medium; and analyzing the nucleic acid molecules in the filtered/collected cellular material.
