The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a multi-bit code modulation mapping method and device, designed to improve communication reliability. The method comprises: conducting multi-domain encoding on a first sequence of K multi-bit codes, and acquiring a second sequence of N multi-bit codes; computing to obtain K1 and K2 based on a multi-domain prime number q and a modulation order M, wherein K1*log2q = K2*log2M, and both K1 and K2 are integers not less than 2,and both q and M are powers of 2; dividing the second sequence into z multi-bit code blocks each containing K1 multi-bit codes; C=formula (I) and formula (II) represents rounding up; mapping each of the multi-bit code blocks to a constellation chart to form K2 M order modulation symbols; cascading z blocks of M order modulation symbols in sequence to generate modulation symbols to be transmitted.
