Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method, a device and a system for performing communication by using an unauthorized spectrum, which improves the efficiency of using the unauthorized spectrum by a user equipment. The method comprises: a base station (eNB) obtaining a time and/or frequency resource by contending with another eNB or another system using an unauthorized spectrum; the base station (eNB) generating time and/or frequency resource information according to the time and/or frequency resource; and the base station (eNB) sending the time and/or frequency resource information to a user equipment (UE) through a broadcast or multicast message, so that the user equipment (UE) communicates with the base station (eNB) according to the time and/or frequency resource information. The embodiments of the present invention are applied in use of an unauthorized spectrum.
