PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loudness measuring device and a loudness measurement method capable of measuring loudness of multi-channel sound signals exceeding 5.1 channels.SOLUTION: A loudness measuring device applies a K-characteristic filter S1 for each plurality of channels for sound signals of a plurality of channels Ch1-Ch24 of sound signals reproduced from a plurality of different positions in a three-dimensional space. Propagation characteristics by a head transfer function are applied as a filter by an HRTF filter S10. Those weighted according to audio frequencies are subjected to mean square S2, are weighted according to respective weighting coefficients G1-24 (S3) of a plurality of channels, and are summed up in S4. The summed-up value is converted to a decibel scale in S5. A loudness value is calculated by adding weighting based on transfer characteristics corresponding to an arrival direction of sound from a plurality of different positions by using a gating function in a gate S6. |
