Provided is a clutch control device for a 4-wheel drive vehicle, which can optimize the synchronization speed of a dog clutch and can improve vehicle stability and vehicle sound and vibration characteristics. To this end, this clutch control device for a 4-wheel drive vehicle is characterized in that a system for transmitting drive force to the left and right rear wheels (19, 20) comprises a drive branch-side transmission system path and an auxiliary drive wheel-side transmission system path which sandwich a rear differential (15), and a 4WD control unit (34) controls engagement and release of an electronically controlled coupling (16) and a dog clutch (8) which are arranged separately in the two paths. The 4WD control unit (34) comprises a synchronization speed control unit (100), and at the time of transition from a disconnect 2-wheel drive mode, in which the electronically controlled coupling (16) and the dog clutch (8) are released, to a connect 4-wheel drive mode, in which the electronically controlled coupling (16) and the dog clutch (8) are engaged, the synchronization speed control unit (100) lowers the synchronization speed of the dog clutch (8) more during vehicle deceleration than when the vehicle is not decelerating. |
