[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of allowing a wireless communication system to more appropriately use a frequency band shared between wireless communication of the wireless communication system and other wireless communication. [Solution] Provided is an apparatus that includes: an acquiring unit for acquiring information provided by a wireless communication device that uses a frequency band shared between wireless communication of a wireless communication system and other wireless communication and performs the other wireless communication therewith, said information pertaining to the other wireless communication; and a controller for determining, on the basis of the information pertaining to the other wireless communication, an additional band that is part of the shared frequency band and available for the wireless communication of the wireless communication system in addition to a frequency band dedicated for the wireless communication system. |
