PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel with a structure capable of low-voltage driving through a simple process.SOLUTION: A digital video signal input from a source signal line is input to a pixel through a switching TFT 101. At that time, a voltage compensation circuit 110 amplifies the voltage amplitude of the digital video signal or converts the amplitude thereof, and then applies the voltage to a gate electrode of a driving TFT 102. This makes it possible to control ON/OFF of a TFT in a pixel correctly even if the power supply voltage for driving a gate signal line is reduced.
