PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on a user in the initial setting of a device managed by a management device.SOLUTION: In a device management system 1 which includes a plurality of first management devices 10, a second management device 20, an issue device 30 and a plurality of image forming devices 40, in the initial setting of the image forming device 40, the image forming device 40 transmits a specific information request for requesting specific information for specifying the first management device 10 for managing the image forming device 40 to the common first management device 10 using a common address held in the image forming device 40 itself, the common first management device 10 transmits the specific information request from the image forming device 40 to the second management device 20, the second management device 20 transmits specific information as a response to the specific information request received from the common first management device 10 to the common first management device 10, and the common first management device 10 transmits the specific information received from the second management device 20 to the image forming device 40 which has transmitted the specific information request. |
