PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of easily acquiring information relating to a shape of a subject included in image data.SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises: an imaging unit that acquires image data including a target subject which is a subject as a target of imaging and a reference subject which is a subject as a reference to specify a shape of the target subject; a storage unit that stores reference subject shape information relating to the shape of the reference subject; a region specifying unit that specifies an image region of the target subject and an image region of the reference subject in the image data; a subject shape information creating unit that creates target subject shape information as information relating to the shape of the target subject based on the image region of the reference subject and on the reference subject shape information; and an output size determining unit that determines an output size of the image data based on the target subject shape information.
