The present invention improves throughput in a wireless communication system which uses transmission diversity. A wireless base station (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention having: a transmission processing unit (503) for generating, for each of a plurality of antennas (101), an OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) signal by converting a symbol positioned at a symbol rate faster than the Nyquist rate in a prescribed time region and/or frequency region into a symbol positioned at a symbol rate at or below the Nyquist rate in the prescribed time region and/or frequency region; and a transmission unit (103) for transmitting the OFDMA signal for each of the plurality of antennas to a user terminal. Furthermore, the wireless base station (10) is characterized in that the transmission processing unit uses transmission diversity with the plurality of antennas for the symbol positioned at the fast symbol rate. |
