Provided is a negative electrode active substance material capable of improving charge/discharge characteristics and the discharge capacity per amount. The negative electrode active substance material according to the present embodiment contains a material (A) and/or a material (B), and a material (C). Material A: a carbonaceous pulverulent material in which the ratio of the peak intensity at 1360 cm-1 relative to the peak intensity at 1580 cm-1 in a Raman spectrum is 0.5 or less. Material B: a carbonaceous pulverulent material in which the ratio of the peak intensity at 1360 cm-1 relative to the peak intensity at 1580 cm-1 in a Raman spectrum is over 0.5. Material C: a pulverulent material having, as the main component, an active material comprising an alloy phase. This alloy phase undergoes thermoelastic diffusionless transformation when metal ions are released or the metal ions are absorbed. |
