SURGICAL APPARATUS INCLUDING SURGICAL BUTTRESS Abstract A surgical buttress (110) for use with a surgical stapling apparatus (10) having a first jaw (50) in the form of an anvil assembly and a second jaw (60) configured to selectively receive a staple cartridge assembly (100). The surgical buttress (110) includes a first body portion (112) and a second body portion (114). The first body portion (112) substantially overlies a portion of a plurality of fastener slots of the staple cartridge assembly (100). The staple cartridge assembly (100) is removably operably couplable to the second jaw (60) of the surgical stapling apparatus (10). The second body portion (114) extends from the first body portion (112) and is configured and dimensioned to be removably positioned to substantially overlie a portion of a plurality of fastener pockets of the anvil assembly of the surgical stapling apparatus (10) when the staple cartridge assembly (100) is operably coupled to the second jaw (60) of the surgical stapling apparatus (10). ill!.
