PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy saving agitating device in which a calorific power is restricted, its maintenance is also easy, its use is easy, an object to be installed and installation position have flexibility and an agitating capability is also adjustable.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet type olten metal agitating device comprises: a supporting body capable of restricting transmission of heat from molten metal; a magnetic field device installed above the supporting body and having permanent magnets for applying vertical magnetic fluxes to the molten metal; and a driving part installed below the supporting body to drive molten metal with electromagnetic force formed by the magnetic fluxes from the permanent magnets and currents flowing by itself through the molten metal. The driving part includes a cylindrical driving part main body fixed below the supporting body and having therein a passage orienting in a lateral direction and longitudinal direction; and a pair of electrodes arranged at positions holding the passage in a width direction so as to be exposed to the passage, crossing with the magnetic fluxes through the molten metal and capable of flowing an electric current. |
