PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of novel structure capable of enhancing waterproofness at the connection of a wire and a connection terminal, without requiring anticorrosion treatment thereof or up-sizing of a terminal cavity. ! SOLUTION: In a connector where a connection terminal 30 connected with the terminal 28 of a wire 12 is housed in the terminal cavity 22 of a housing 14, the housing 14 is provided with a wire cavity 26 extending continuously from the terminal cavity 22 and opening to the rear surface 24 of the housing 14, and the wire 12 extending from the connection terminal 30 is inserted and arranged in place. A gap 64 between the wire cavity 26 and the wire 12 is closed by an elastic press member 16, when at least one elastic press member 16 attached from the side face 44 of the housing 14 and disposed in the wire cavity 26 is pressed against the wire 12. !
