A flexible display substrate motherboard and flexible display substrate manufacturing method, the method comprising: forming a heating pattern layer on the carrier substrate (10), the heating pattern layer comprising a plurality of region blocks (20) arranged at intervals; forming a flexible base (30) on the substrate having the heating pattern layer formed, and forming a display element (40) on the flexible base (30); heating the flexible base (30) with the heating pattern layer and cutting the flexible base (30), and stripping off the flexible base (30) corresponding to the region blocks from the carrier substrate (10) to form a flexible display substrate. The method can avoid damage to the display element on the flexible base (30) while separating the flexible base (30) and the carrier substrate (10), and avoid uneven separation.
