PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluoride fluorescent composition with good thermal stability for use in a wavelength converter of a high-lumen projector.SOLUTION: A fluoride fluorescent composition contains a tetravalent manganese ion and 2.7 to 7 fluorine atoms. The tetravalent manganese ion is doped so as to be a luminescent center. The fluoride fluorescent composition is substantially represented by the general formula A2MF6:Mn4+, where A is at least one of Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs and NH4 and M is at least one of Ge, Si, Sn, Ti and Zr. |
