PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device capable of smoothly protecting an occupant moving toward the obliquely front side that is on the central side in the lateral direction of a vehicle and on the front side.SOLUTION: An occupant crash protection device S includes: a driver seat air bag 19 that is inflated on the front side of a driver seat 13; a front passenger seat air bag 26 that is inflated on the front side of a front passenger seat 14; and a central air bag 34 that is inflated between the driver seat air bag 19 and the front passenger seat air bag 26. The central air bag 34 is configured to project to the rear sides relative to the driver seat air bag 19 and the front passenger seat air bag 26 at the completion of the inflation. At the completion of the inflation, right and left sides of the central air bag 34 are made to come closer to or come in contact with the driver seat air bag 19 and the front passenger seat air bag 26. The central air bag 34 includes: a protruding inflation portion 38 disposed to protrude to the front side of the driver seat air bag 19 that has been inflated; and an upper body reception part 46 that can receive an upper body MU of an occupant M on the rear surface side at the completion of the inflation. |
