An industrial product design system (10) is provided with: a muscle-activity acquisition unit (11) for acquiring the muscle activity required for each operation in a prescribed body area when a user of the product moves the body area to use the industrial product being designed; a muscle-activity normalization unit (12) for normalizing the acquired muscle activity; a function calculation unit (13) for calculating, as a design-value change rate, mapping of the muscle activity normalized using a prescribed function; and a design-value correction unit (14) for correcting, using the design-value change rate, the design values of the industrial product being designed.
