摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-level power conversion apparatus which is low in loss, as well as, low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a power conversion circuit provided between a DC three-terminal and one AC terminal, where the DC three-terminal consisting of a high-potential terminal to which a high DC potential is applied, and in a low-potential terminal to which a low potential of DC is applied, and an intermediate-potential terminal to which an intermediate potential between the high potential and low potential is applied, the power conversion circuit includes a plurality of switching elements and a plurality of diodes and makes three potentials given by the DC three-terminal appear sequentially at the one AC terminal, to convert power between the DC three-terminal and the one AC terminal. Out of the plurality of diodes, only those which perform reverse recovery operation by being applied with a backward voltage, after a forward current, is caused to flow therein by being applied with a forward voltage in power conversion operation are set as wideband gap semiconductor diodes; and at least one diode that does not perform reverse recovery operation is a diode, other than the wideband gap semiconductor diode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
