<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type steam trap which unfailingly prevents erosion of the outlet passage.SOLUTION: A trap chamber 4 communicating with an inlet 5 and an outlet passage 6 communicating with an outlet 7 are formed in a trap casing composed of a body 1 having the inlet 5 and the outlet 7 and a lid member 2. A cylindrical valve seat 3 provided with a drain valve hole 10, which allows the trap chamber 4 to communicate with the outlet passage 6 side, is attached to a lower part of the trap chamber 4. Multiple small diameter holes 8 are provided in the cylindrical valve seat 3 to communicate with the outlet passage 6. A central axis of each small diameter hole 8 is arranged substantially parallel to a center axis of the outlet passage 6. A float 13 which opens and closes a trap chamber 4 side edge of the drain valve hole 10 according to a liquid level of the trap chamber 4 is housed in the trap chamber 4. In the structure, condensed water discharged from the multiple small diameter holes 8 is less likely to directly collide with an inner peripheral wall surface of the outlet passage 6 inclined to the outlet 7 side and thus erosion of the inner peripheral wall surface of the outlet passage 6 is prevented.</p> |
