<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for a radar altimeter. More particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus and method for a radar altimeter to reduce altitude error and improve the operation efficiency of a radar altimeter. The apparatus and method for a radar altimeter can improve reliability, can be applied to various radar sensors, can manufacture a small radar sensor at low cost. The apparatus for a radar altimeter includes analog/digital convertor (ADC) which converts a received analog signal into a digital signal, a received signal data memory for storing the converted digital signal, a 2D FET which converts the stored signal into a range Doppler domain, a 2D FFT data memory for storing a signal converted by the 2D FFT, and a zero Doppler filter for measuring reference distance information with zero Doppler frequency and data stored in the 2D FFT data memory.</p> |
