PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to firmly fix the location of a housing installed inside a cylinder, and store a bearing supporting one side of a damper rod inside the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises the following: a cylinder(22) including a suspension(7) with a damper(21) formed with a magnetic material; and a rod(23) also formed with the magnetic material. A magnetic force unit(38) is mounted o the rod, and includes a ring shaped middle yoke(39) and upper and lower bobbins(42, 43) connected to the middle yoke with O-rings(40, 41). The bobbins include upper and lower coils. The rod passes through each part for vertically moving, while magneto-rheological fluid inside a gap between upper and lower yokes applies damping force to the suspension. The damper reduces the vibration of a water tank(6) storing a drum(10). |
