<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method suppressing influences of a charge product on a surface of an image carrier, preventing image deletion, suppressing cleaning failure such as filming or slipping, and giving high picture quality and a long life. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: a charging step of charging an image carrier; a step of forming an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier; a step of forming a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image with toner; a transfer step of transferring the toner image onto a transfer material; and a cleaning step of removing the residual toner from the image carrier surface after the transfer step. The charging step accompanies discharging. The cleaning step is carried out by bringing an elastic member into contact with the image carrier surface for cleaning, in which calcium carbonate particles having a number average particle diameter of 50 nm or more and equal to or less than a weight average particle diameter of the toner and having a specific surface area of 50 or more and 500 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g or less are present in an upstream side of the contact part between the image carrier and the elastic member, based on a rotation direction of the image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
