<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assistance apparatus that can prevent a vehicle from getting over a vehicle stopper at an early timing according to a shape of a vehicle stopper before an abutment of a wheel of the vehicle on the vehicle stopper. <P>SOLUTION: The parking assistance apparatus includes: a vehicle stopper detection means 1 for detecting a height of a vehicle stopper installed on a road surface behind a vehicle during reversing the vehicle; and an assistance means 2 for providing assistance by means of an advice to a driver and/or vehicle control to prevent the vehicle from getting over the vehicle stopper. The assistance means 2 is configured to make a range of an operation condition of the assistance means 2 narrower when a height of a vehicle stopper is equal to or higher than a reference height than that when a height of a vehicle stopper is lower than the reference height. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
