<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid chromatography apparatus capable of filling a column with a filler without attaching a filler filling valve or nozzle to a movable plug or a flange, and to provide a filler filling method. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid chromatography apparatus 1 includes a chromatographic column 2 having a slurry introduction port 2a on a lower side face, and an upper movable plug 3 and a lower movable plug 4 for pressuring a filler or its slurry supplied into the chromatographic column 2. The upper movable plug 3 and the lower movable plug 4 are located on the lower part of the chromatographic column 2, the lower movable plug 4 is located lower than the introduction port 2a and the upper movable plug 3 is moved upward to introduce the filler slurry into the chromatographic column 2.
