<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent that has good storage stability of the liquid crystal aligning agent, has no accumulation of a residual DC voltage and is capable of increasing durability against backlight, to provide a liquid crystal aligned film, and to provide a liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal aligning agent contains a polyamic acid ester expressed by formula (1) and a polyamic acid expressed by formula (3). (In formula (1), m represents a positive integer; R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>represents a tetravalent organic group; R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>represents a divalent organic group; and R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>represents an alkyl group.)
